Drilling activities successfully completed north of Tallevast Road

  Last week, December 12 – 16, our construction crews successfully completed drilling activities for all locations within the residential areas north of Tallevast Road.  Two groundwater extraction wells were completed on the northern part of 19th street, and four wells were completed on 17th St. E. and 76th Ave. E., near Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.

This week, a technician will go back to each well to conduct well development testing.  The drilling rigs were moved this week to the Waste Pro facility on 15th St. and to the Lockheed Martin site at 1600 Tallevast Road. 

To observe the holidays, there will be no construction work done from this Friday, December 23, through Monday, January 2, 2012.  (The interim remedial action plan (IRAP) water treating system on the Lockheed Martin site will be operating, as it continually does, during these dates.)

I won’t have an update on the week of December 26th…since we will not conduct any construction activities, but I’ll have our first update for 2012 on the week of January 2nd.  So until then, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season!
