Well Closure Incentive Program

To encourage full participation of Tallevast residents in its efforts to seal wells, Lockheed Martin established a Well Closure Incentive Program as part of its ongoing work to address the groundwater contamination issue in Tallevast and to restore residents’ faith in their community's land and water.

As part of the program, Lockheed Martin offers property owners $10,000 in exchange for the permission to seal active or formerly active wells. In addition, Lockheed Martin pays all costs associated with permanent well sealing. The Corporation does not expect any reimbursement from property owners for well sealing work, nor will any part of the $10,000 offered to participating property owners be used for this effort.
